'Couldn't be happier': WWE twins give birth within hours of each other

WWE superstar twins Nikki and Brie Bella have given birth within hours of each other, each welcoming baby boys into their respective families.

The high-profile wrestlers and stars of offshoot program Total Divas both announced their news on Instagram, with Brie the first to give birth to her son, posting an image of the two of them holding hands, along with partner and fellow WWE superstar Daniel Bryan.

“It’s a boy!!!” she wrote on Instagram.

“We are overwhelmed with joy and everyone is healthy!!!”

Just a few hours later it was her sister Nikki’s turn to welcome a new member of her family to the world, with she and husband Artem Chigvintsev also taking to Instagram to announce the news.

“Our baby boy is here and we couldn’t be HAPPIER and more in LOVE!” Nikki wrote.

“Everyone is safe and healthy.”

The WWE twins stunned the wrestling world earlier in the year when they posted images of a joint nude pregnancy photo shoot.

Nikki Bella, one of the WWE’s highest paid female stars, said sharing her pregnancy journey with her sister had been invaluable during a period of global turmoil, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

“I have embraced the changes of the human body, even though that can be tough at times,” she wrote.

“I have embraced the feeling of being uncomfortable knowing I am growing a life that will be one of my own.

“I have already felt the lioness in me come out even more knowing that I am ready to protect, teach, love and guide.

“And to go through all of this with my twin sister?

“Goodness I would say I am one lucky woman that God knew my timing of becoming a mom was divine.”

Brie Bella also took to Instagram to share the pregnancy snaps and discuss her own pregnancy experience.

“This pregnancy has been a special one,” Brie wrote.

“To experience this with my sister during a time of uncertainty and turmoil has been a blessing.

“As Twins I kept wondering if our bodies were going to change the same or if we’d be different.

“It’s crazy how identical our pregnancies have become…from cravings to symptoms.

“We are coming to the end of our pregnancy and this will be one I’ll remember forever.

“Can’t wait to meet her little boy and I can’t wait to see what I’ll be having.”
