WWE host under fire over 'irresponsible' Instagram photos

After testing positive for the coronavirus twice in two months, WWE host Kayla Braxton has opted to shut down her Twitter account after backlash from fans over her ‘irresponsible’ behaviour.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic worsening across the United States, Braxton has come under fire from fans for ignoring medical advice to limit unnecessary outings and to wear a face mask while outdoors to limit the spread of the virus.

Despite recovering after testing positive to COVID-19 earlier in the year, Braxton revealed on her Instagram that she had tested positive for a second time, after fellow WWE announcer Renee Young also confirmed her diagnosis with the virus.

“Was keeping it quiet but since everyone else is sharing, I feel like it is my responsibility to share this PSA: YOU CAN GET COVID-19 MORE THAN ONCE!” Braxton wrote.

“I had it back in early March and then thought I was invincible after I recovered.

“Not true. Don’t be dumb like me.”

Fans were quick to criticise Braxton, who had posted pictures of herself out at the beach and various other places after recovering from her first diagnosis.

But many took the criticism way too far, hurling vulgar personal insults and slurs at the WWE host until she felt she had no other option but to take a break from social media as a result.

“It’s been an emotionally taxing several weeks so I’m going to take a little hiatus from social media,” she said.

“In the meantime, be safe. Be healthy. And please, be kind.”

WWE superstar wrestler Brock Lesnar is under the microscope after a female wrestling legend went public with claims the 43-year-old sexually harassed her several years ago.

Wrestling great Terri Runnels opened up about an incident involving Lesnar in the WWE changerooms which occurred just before 2004.

Runnels, an iconic wrestler from the WCW in the late 1980s and early ‘90s who forged a successful broadcasting and management career following her time in the ring, said Lesnar had committed a confronting and lewd act directed at her during an interview on the Kee on Sports podcast.

“I don’t have a lot of respect for Brock, I don’t think Brock respects wrestling fans,” Runnels said.

“Brock did something that if it was in today’s day and time… you know.

“He showed his penis to me and called my name as I was walking past where he was in the dressing room and opened his towel so I could see his manly bits.

“I would have much rather him not be so disrespectful of a female that’s been in this business for as long as I have been.”
