'Absolute disgrace': Zelina Vega sacked by WWE over OnlyFans account
The WWE have confirmed Zelina Vega was recently fired because of her Twitch and OnlyFans accounts.
Fans were left shocked recently when the WWE announced Vega - one of the company’s rising stars - had been let go.

“WWE has come to terms on the release of Zelina Vega,” a statement read.
“We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”
It has now emerged that the final straw for WWE and Vince McMahon came when Vega opened an OnlyFans account - a site that lets users charge followers a subscription fee for exclusive content, most commonly X-Rated photos and videos.
McMahon had recently introduced a company-wide edict banning wrestlers from using platforms like Twitch and OnlyFans to supplement their income.
Vega (real name Thea Trinidad), had directly defied that edict in opening her OnlyFans account.
Her account spruiks exclusive videos and photos of “cosplays, lingerie, swimsuits and more,” for a monthly subscription fee of US$30.
According to Sports Illustrated: “Following discussions regarding Twitch, upper management felt Trinidad boxed them into a difficult situation by opening the OnlyFans account.”
Vega is also a frequent Twitch streamer and was reportedly not willing to comply with WWE's new policy.
WWE stars can still stream on Twitch, but they have to do so under the WWE banner.
WWE fans rage over Zelina Vega’s release
Moments before her release, Vega had taken to Twitter to declare she supported unionisation.
She had also responded to a tweet from former colleague Paige, who said she “learned a lot about unionism today.”
I support unionization.

The 29-year-old Vega initially had limited on-screen minutes during the start of her career, serving as Andrade’s manager in NXT and on the main WWE roster.
But she had recently branched into a singles career of her own and unsuccessfully challenged Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at Clash of Champions in September.
Fans were left fuming at the decision to fire her.
So you're telling me you fired Zelina Vega but not Matt Riddle and/or Velveteen Dream?

@Zelina_VegaWWE It a disgrace that you were released. You are an incredible performer. Unionization is needed in wrestling. This is wrong ....Please keep posting your cosplay content. I will miss seeing you on TV. Stay well and safe.

If this is because she said wrestlers should unionise (which they should) then this is disgusting

I'm really shocked. Words can't describe it. She had a bright future ahead of her. Regardless, I'll continue to support her wherever she goes. Zelina, thank you for everything you've done. I look forward to where you go from here.

So, you treat your talent like slaves and try to own everything they do and fire them for standing up for their selves, great look. But what can you expect when the company leadership is in bed with Trump.

So you'll fire anyone for speaking against you? WTF!?
