UFC fighter Casey Kenney’s comments towards female star Megan Anderson during an interview have been labelled ‘utterly degrading’ with the fighting community rallying around the Aussie.

Aussie star Anderson will appear on the UFC 259 card to take on featherweight champion Amanda Nunes, while Kenney will also fight on the night.

But Kenney has been slammed for his comments after he appeared on The TimboSugarshow podcast alongside UFC star Sean O’Malley and was asked a question about Anderson.

In a degrading segment, Kenney was asked if he would ‘smash’ Anderson.

“Probably not, man,” Kenney said.

“She’s not too...well, I mean, if it came down to it, and it was like 5am, 4, she’s a 5am-er, 4am-er.

“Just us two hanging out, like, ‘F*** it, let’s do it.’”

UFC community slam Casey Kenney

The American’s response has since been publicly shamed online with Anderson calling out the comments as “utterly degrading”.

The UFC community has also rallied around Anderson following Kenney’s remarks.

“I guess MMA is a line of work where you can publicly talk about whether you’d have sex with a co-worker in an utterly degrading way and face zero consequences.” Anderson tweeted.

“Disgusting behaviour and it’s unfortunate that he’ll be fighting on my card in March.”

She later added: “It’s not ok for anyone to be spoken about like this.”

Kenney later apologised for his comments.

“I’m sorry this upset you. I will be more careful with my words,” Kenney wrote.

“I was just answering a question and thought it was all a joking matter. I see I was wrong and I’m sorry. Best of luck with training camp and your fight.”
