UFC fighter Jon Jones isn’t going to stand for people looking to vandalise his town.

Jones confronted two teenagers carrying spray cans around Albuquerque, New Mexico, over the weekend, and posted video of the incident on his Instagram page.

In the video, Jones follows one person demanding that person give Jones the spray can.

After Jones receives the spray can, he walks over to another person, who immediately gives up their spray can.

In his post, Jones asks why ‘punk ass teenagers’ are ‘destroying our cities.’

He urges people who care about Albuquerque to protect the city, and tells family members to make sure their young family stays home.

Jones expresses he’s frustrated about George Floyd, but Jones believes tagging and carrying spray cans is not the way to spark change.

“Is this sh*t even about George Floyd anymore?!?” Jones wrote.

“Why the f**k are you punk ass teenagers destroying our cities!??

“As a young black man trust me I’m frustrated as well but this is not the way, we are starting to make a bad situation worse.

“All you old heads need to speak up, call your young family members and tell them to come home tonight.”

The video comes while Jones is engaged in a pay dispute with UFC. After stepping away from negotiations and getting into it with UFC president Dana White, Jones said Sunday he is willing to give up his light heavyweight title.

Football star killed in George Floyd riots

The sporting world is in shock after former Indiana University football player Chris Beaty was shot and killed in Indianapolis as violence erupted across the country in response to the death of George Floyd.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Beaty suffered multiple gunshot wounds on Saturday night in downtown Indianapolis and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Marion County Coroner's Office positively identified Beaty as the victim of one of several shootings that happened late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Protests and violence have taken place in the downtown area of Indianapolis for the past three nights to protest police brutality in the wake of Floyd’s death in police custody, but it’s not clear if any of the shootings were directly tied to those actions.

Beaty, 38, was a lineman at Indiana from 2000 to 2004.

Since graduating he’d become a local business leader, running several nightclubs in the area and opening his own events promotion company, Fresh Marketing, in 2011.

Beaty was also still involved with the Indiana football program.
