'Worst things I've seen': UFC in shock over 'disgusting' moment

The UFC returned to action with another night of fights from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday.
And there were fireworks early with a number of vicious knockouts and one fighter’s gruesome leg injury.

Gabriel Benitez may not have won his fight against Omar Morales, but he won over fans with his incredible toughness.
Benitez fought the final two rounds despite suffering a sickening gash to his shin.
The Mexican fighter took a few too many leg kicks from Morales, leaving him with a huge hole in his shin and exposing the bone.
“That’s a shin bone,” commentator Joe Rogan said after graphic footage showed Benitez receiving treatment.
Benitez later uploaded a photo of the injury to Instagram (WARNING: Very graphic).
Needless to say fans were pretty shocked.

UFC pushes on despite coronavirus crisis
Headlining the main card is Anthony ‘Lionheart’ Smith v Glover Teixeira in a light heavyweight tilt between two former title challengers.
Smith (33-14) told Yahoo Sports he wants to become the first fighter to submit Teixeira, who has never lost by submission in his nearly 18 year fight career.
Teixeira (30-7) will look to build on his current three fight win streak, with two of those victories coming via submission.
In his last outing, Smith earned a Performance of the Night bonus for his submission win over Alexander Gustafsson on June 1, 2019.
In the co-main event, Ovince ‘OSP’ Saint Preux moves up to heavyweight to test himself v the much larger Ben Rothwell.
OSP (24-13) added 35 pounds to weigh in at 240.5 pounds on Tuesday, while Rothwell (37-12) hit 265 pounds on the scale.
The weight advantage figures to make a significant difference in the bout, however, OSP’s submission game is always a threat as he holds the UFC record (4) for most wins via Von Flue choke submission.
Some have already began calling it the Saint Preux choke.
