'You're a fighter': Tennis world 'shocked' after Carla Navarro's cancer news
The tennis world has rallied around retiring Spanish tennis champion Carla Suárez Navarro after she revealed she had been diagnosed with early stage Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The former World No.6 recently withdrew from the US Open and admitted she hasn’t been able to train on the court since July.

And on Tuesday she announced to the world she had been diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma and would undergo six-months of chemotherapy.
In the announcement, she added on Twitter: “Patience and self-belief guided me through my career.”

Navarro had already intended to make the 2020 season her last on tour.
Djokovic, Nadal and players rally around Navarro
Following the tragic news, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and many others from the tennis community sent Navarro there best wishes.
“Carla, you are such a fighter and I have no doubt you’ll get through this,” Djokovic wrote.
“Stay positive and come back soon.”
Nadal added: “A lot of strength Carla in these tough moments of life. Surely as you say positively, the strength you’ve always had and the necessary help you get!”
