Eugenie Bouchard's extraordinary move in search for love

Eugenie Bouchard is notoriously unlucky in love - and she’s not afraid to let us know.

She’s dated fellow sporting stars, random fans and even been linked to Aussie bad boy Nick Kyrgios.

But nothing seems to stick for the Canadian, as she reminded us recently when she tweeted: “Quarantine would be a lot more fun with a boyfriend.”

And now it seems the former Wimbledon finalist has taken her search for love to dating app Bumble.

Bouchard posted two photos of herself on social media on Wednesday, one of which was a screenshot of her dating profile.

“What i look like dating in quarantine on @bumble_canada vs what my profile looks like,” she wrote.

In a sponsored post for the app, Bouchard said she was “matching with people in Canada” and urged others to download and match with her.

“I make bomb mini quesadillas,” her profile says.

The World No.332 even shared a conversation she’d had with one of her matches.

“So … do you like quesadillas?” she asked.

To which she received the reply: “Has anyone actually ever said no to this?”

So there you go - even the biggest of celebrities aren’t immune from having to find love online these days.

Robbie Farah rejected by Eugenie Bouchard

One person who might be downloading Bumble as a result is former NRL star Robbie Farah.

The former Wests Tigers hooker recently opened up about his failed attempt to meet up with Bouchard in Miami.

“@geniebouchard surely you’re having a drink with me in Miami!,” Farah tweeted at the tennis star earlier this year.

“If I rub you do I get 3 wishes?”

However Bouchard’s reply was non-existent.

Some social media users found Farah’s pick-up attempt rather creepy, and the man himself has since explained his actions.

“I vaguely remember (the tweets), I was pissed!” Farah told Fox Sports.

“I was with a bunch of mates and we thought it’d be funny if I sent her a message.

“The next day it blew up in the media. I had all these people having a go at me, some people thought it was rude or whatever.

“I was like ‘it’s a joke’. If you can’t take a joke, seriously what world do we live in?”
