Nick Kyrgios has been identified as the culprit of a viral Facebook post about a "notorious tennis player" and their parking habits.

A furious neighbour shared a photo of a green Tesla Model X car parked on the street in the inner Sydney suburb of Zetland on Tuesday, slamming the "entitled" parking job.

The photo shows the car parked in a car-share zone, with the neighbour claiming it is parked there “almost nightly”.

While Kyrgios wasn't named in the post, it was highly implied that he is the culprit.

“Looking for some advice here, it’s a tricky one, we have a car share allocated spot right out the front of our apartment building,” the person wrote.

“Recently a very well known famous and quite notorious tennis player has decided that he is somehow entitled to park in it with his own vehicle.

“I don’t want to name and shame the guy but he’s very famous and parks in this car share space almost nightly, meaning that anybody that has a Go Get or Car Next Door vehicle has no option to park there, as you can see the other night our friends had to park their Car Next Door vehicle illegally behind him as he had parked his car in the dedicated car share space?

“Should I just let this guy go because he’s an elite athlete?

“Not that a $400 fine's going to impact his bank account by any means, but it’s more based on principle and setting a good example.

“Especially when car share is all about minimising pollution, traffic and congestion.

“No doubt I’ll get a few trolls on here but I just thought it a reasonable question to put forward on this group.”

Girlfriend's sister admits Nick Kyrgios is culprit

Kyrgios can be seen posing with girlfriend Costeen Hatzi in front of the exact same car on his Instagram page.

So it wasn't long before Facebook users started calling him out.

Hatzi's sister Mary then confirmed the car belongs to him and said he didn't realise it was a car-share spot.

“Hey all, to be fair, he didn’t realise it was a car share spot,” Mary Hatzi wrote.

“He parked there to allow other car spots for those who can’t find parking in the area.

“Nick understands and will move his car. Thank you for all your kind messages.”

Kyrgios is currently back in Australia while the rest of the tennis world is in Europe for the clay-court season.

The Aussie star hasn't played the French Open since 2017 and regards clay as his least-favourite surface.

However he recently revealed that he will make a return to Roland Garros in 2023 because of Hatzi.

“Next year I am going to go to Paris. I’m announcing that now, I’m going to the French Open,” he said.

“I haven’t played that in four years so I’ll be back next year.

“My girlfriend just wants to see Paris. I mean, I’ll play the French Open as well.”
