Renee Gracie's sad admission about Supercars return at Bathurst

Renee Gracie has conceded her dream of a return to Supercars to race at the Bathurst 1000 is all-but over.

Last year Gracie revealed plans to buy her own Supercars team using the money she's made from OnlyFans after walking away from the sport.

Gracie shocked the motorsport world in 2020 when she revealed she'd turned her back on racing to pursue a career in X-rated content.

Her earnings have since skyrocketed into the millions, with Gracie revealing she wanted to spend $1 million to get back into Supercars and add to her two starts in the Bathurst 1000.

But in an interview with motorsport.com on Wednesday, the 27-year-old conceded the chances of that happening are slim.

“I don’t know if I could ever do 'main game' again, to be honest," she said. "I think I’ve just been out of the sport for too long.

"But potentially going GT or Porsche, even something small and fun like Toyota GT86 where it’s 30 or 40 cars and really enjoyable.

"Just fun weekends of rubbing and racing, learning every single lap, every corner – something like that I’d find very fun and entertaining.

"It would be good to dip the toe back in again."

Gracie said she wants to rekindle her love for racing after losing it during her time in Supercars.

“It’s all about doing it for enjoyment – I lost my enjoyment for it when I was racing towards those last few years," she said.

"To have that passion sparked again, to have fun and narrow it down to just racing and put all of the other stuff aside, is something that I’d love to do."

Gracie previously said a lack of funding in Supercars was behind her decision to leave the sport, with OnlyFans providing a much more lucrative career.

Gracie revealed she made over $500,000 in her first month on the subscription website in 2020, which charges fans a monthly fee for X-rated content.

In 2015, Gracie was part of the first all-female driver team to race in the Bathurst 1000 alongside Simona de Silvestro.

They teamed up again to drive in the showpiece event in 2016, and Gracie was eyeing off a return to Mount Panorama for the 2021 race.

However Supercars officials poured cold water on the idea, suggesting she was simply using it as a platform to drum up publicity for her OnlyFans career.

“She is just using the sport to sell more videos. It is not even worth commenting on because it is not going to happen,” an official told the Daily Telegraph.

Gracie previously admitted that she knew her X-rated career switch might have closed the door to any future return to Supercars.

Her best result in her debut Supercars season was a 12th-placed finish, ending up 18th in the championship standings.
