Report: Former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard goes missing while swimming at Venice Beach
Former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard reportedly went missing while swimming at Venice Beach on Sunday, according to TMZ.
Gaspard, 39, and his 10-year-old son were reportedly caught in a rip current. Lifeguards went out to help, and Gaspard told them to assist his son first. Lifeguards were able to reach and rescue Gaspard’s son. Gaspard reportedly was submerged under water.
ABC7 confirmed the situation, though did not mention whether Gaspard was involved. Beaches reopened in Los Angeles County on Wednesday.
Rescuers continued looking for Gaspard until sundown Sunday. A team also went out early Monday to try and find Gaspard.
