'How on earth': Novak Djokovic stunned in major Olympics shock
World No.1 Novak Djokovic's quest for a 'Golden Slam' has come to an end after the Serb lost to Alexander Zverev in the semi final of the Olympics.
Djokovic started the match in his usual dominating fashion as he blasted Zverev off the court for a 6-1 lead.

However, the match swung in the German's favour at 3-2 in the second set.
While Djokovic was still up, the momentum shifted as Zverev rattled off four games in a row to level the match.
Zverev maintained the momentum and took the first four games of the final set, before taking the decider 6-1.
The World No.4 broke down in tears after the match as a humble Djokovic congratulated Zverev on the well deserved victory.

The tennis world watched on in disbelief as the dominant Djokovic seemed to struggle in the Tokyo humidity and heat during the match.

Djokovic is still in contention for a gold medal as he will compete against ROC pair Aslan Karetsev and Elena Vesnina in the semi-final of the mixed doubles with Nina Stajanovic.
