'Embarrassing': Tom Trbojevic denies race footage as cause of 'innocuous' injury
Tom Trbojevic has denied footage of himself in a running race down the Manly Corso as the cause of his 'innocuous accident' that caused an injury, which will see him ruled out for up to six weeks.
The NSW star and Manly Sea Eagles fullback fronted the media after a press release claimed an "innocuous accident" caused an injury to his right hamstring.

“It’s pretty embarrassing to actually say... I woke up yesterday morning, I slipped over in the bathroom and just felt it go,” he said to reporters about the injury that will sideline him for the opening three weeks of the NRL season.
“I do apologise to Manly club and the members that I won’t be out there. It didn’t feel great, I’ve felt the feeling before so I knew pretty quickly and was straight on the phone to the physio.
"It is a bit rattling.
"It's not something that you want to be dealing with and considering the history over the past couple of years, it doesn't make it any easier.
"But at least I know I have been here before and I know what I have to do to get right again. I just have to go and do that."
Footage emerges of Tommy Turbo sprint
But not long after his press conference, footage circulated of the fullback sprinting down the Manly Corso on Saturday night.
He appeared to be in a running race, which was filmed by someone nearby.
The footage sparked some to question the real reason for the injury, which will hurt Manly's chances at the start of the season.
But the sprint as the cause of the injury was quickly denied, according to Brent Reed of The Australian.
Just spoken to Tom Trbojevic about that video. “I was having a few drinks and I was being an idiot on the corso. I know how it is going to look but I swear, I didn’t hurt it then." There are few better or more honest blokes in the game. I am happy to take him at his word.

Reporter Danny Weidler also confirmed the Manly Sea Eagles insisted Trbojevic injured himself slipping over in the bathroom, not during the sprint.
Many fan's can rest easy knowing the injury wasn't to his troubled left hamstring, which has plagued him over the last two seasons.
