Brisbane Broncos at centre of NRL revenge porn scandal
The Brisbane Broncos’ NRL season has gone from bad to worse, with reports emerging that centre Kotoni Staggs has been involved in a revenge porn scandal.
Channel 7 journalist Chris Garry reported an x-rated video of Staggs had been released and distributed on Tuesday, with police investigating a woman thought to be behind its publication.

He went on to report that Staggs was unlikely to face any charges.
“Broncos centre Kotoni Staggs is at the centre of a revenge porn scandal,” Garry posted.
“A sensitive video of him released and distributed today.
“It’s understood police are investigating the woman who released the video and she could face charges. Kotoni expected to be cleared.”

The NRL has had to confront several incidents involving sex tapes of players being published inn recent years.
Canterbury’s Dylan Napa was at the centre of one such scandal in 2019, during which is was alleged footage of him having consensual sex with a woman was posted by a former teammate.
Another scandal, involving Penrith’s Tyrone May, also required attention from the league.
May was ultimately charged with four counts of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent, with a magistrate sentencing him to 300 hours of community service earlier in 2020.
Brisbane Broncos’ horror NRL season continues
Anthony Milford has been ruled out for at least a month after suffering a grade two hamstring tear at NRL training on Monday.
The maligned five-eighth has battled with form this season but his injury will come as a blow for the Broncos before their grudge match with South Sydney on Friday night.
Milford left training early on Monday clutching his hamstring and scans on Tuesday revealed a tear.
It comes amid calls for coach Anthony Seibold to dump the underperforming star after the Broncos last week lost their ninth game from their past 10.
"It's unfortunate but as a result we expect Anthony to be out of action for at least the next month," Broncos Head of Performance Paul Devlin said.
"He will start rehabilitation in coming days and will build his strength back up before commencing his return to run program."
Injuries have cruelled Brisbane this season with regulars Matt Lodge, Alex Glenn, David Fifita, Brodie Croft and Corey Oates all sidelined at various points.
