New Patriots kicker forced to cover up controversial tattoo
A high-profile NFL draftee has been forced to deny a tattoo on his left arm is the symbol for a fringe far-right militia group after eagle-eyed fans noticed the ink over the weekend.
When the New England Patriots drafted Marshall kicker Justin Rohrwasser, there was a controversy over one of his tattoos and speculation it meant he supported a far-right militia group, the Three Percenters.

“It evolved into something I do not want to represent.
“It will be covered.”
The 23-year-old has other tattoos, reading ‘Liberty or death’ and ‘Don’t tread on me’, as well as another tattoo celebrating the Dave Matthews Band.
In a 2019 interview, Rohrwasser said all his tattoos were ‘random’.
The ‘Three Percenters’ have been described as an anti-government extremist group by the Southern Poverty Law Centre and the Anti-Defamation League, two organisations who track extremist far-right groups.
Members of the Three Percenters have publicly denied they are a white supremacist group, and have also denied the group can be labelled a militia.
