'Embarrassment': Lucas Browne lashes out over 'sausage roll' farce
Paul Gallen's demolition of Lucas Browne shocked Australia, but 'Big Daddy' has furiously hit back over claims of 'embarrassing' footage before the bout.
Gallen shocked the Aussie boxing landscape after easily knocking out former heavyweight champ Browne in the 1st round.

Furious all week about Browne dismissing him as a "footballer", the retired rugby league great sent 'Big Daddy' to the canvas twice inside the first two minutes with a series of devastating blows to the head.
Browne didn't look like the boxer that soared up the heavyweight rankings in his prime and looked rather sluggish in the ring.
Many questioned Browne's commitment to the bout and some controversial pre-fight footage sparked a flurry of comments on social media.
Just before the fight, Browne was captured on the locker room captures chowing down on what many claimed to be a 'sausage roll'.
The footage sparked boxing fans to accuse him of not taking the fight seriously and the outcome was a 'farce'.

Soon as he weighed in at 117 kilos I started having my doubts, then the sausage roll before the fight did it for me 😂 I thought Gal might've got a decision using his fitness but man Browne looked slow as hell

Browne tucking into a sausage roll prior to getting into the ring was an absolute piss take #ozboxing #boxing #GallenBrowne pic.twitter.com/l21FBEytL1

Used to love Lucas Browne but that was a farce. Awful and can’t see how he got beat like that, most of the shots missed. #GallenBrowne

Browne hits back over 'sausage roll' claims
But Browne took to social media following the bout and clarified the rumours, which plagued the bout.
Browne admitted he fought 'sh*t' and couldn't recover from the punches after some ring rust.
But the heavyweight titan also slammed accusations he was easing a 'sausage roll' and claimed it was an "apricot oat bar".
"So I've just realised wtf everyone was talking about when they were saying you fat c**t for eating a sausage roll while in the change room before the fight," he wrote on social media.
"It was the apricot oat bar lol."
Regardless, the fuel didn't help Browne as a confident Gallen was a man mission in the first round.
"I don't know why, but I woke up this morning and I didn't say it to anyone but I knew within myself I'm going to win in the first round. I'm going to knock him out in the first round," Gallen said.
"I kept saying to myself I'm going to knock him out in the first round - and it happened."
Despite Gallen's stunning performance, the Aussie boxing community was left fuming over the two-minute farce.
“I don’t know what to say about Browne’s performance,” tweeted Daily Telegraph writer Jamie Pandaram.
Aussie boxer Billy Dib replied: “I do. Pathetic.”
