Motorsport prodigy exposes disgusting side of social media fame

Aspiring IndyCar driver Lindsay Brewer has lifted the lid on some of the disgusting messages she receives from male social media users.

The 22-year-old, who has been racing since the age of 11, burst onto the motorsport scene a few years ago and has been labelled a future star of the sport.

She’s also amassed an impressive social media following of 1.1 million people, however that comes with some dark side effects.

Brewer frequently posts photos on Instagram from photoshoots, but as she recently revealed that usually corresponds with some horror responses from followers.

Brewer took to TikTok on Tuesday to reveal how a number of male fans responded to a series of photos she posted in a bikini on the beach.

“Goes and checks DMs, immediately sees two d*** pics and a poem,” she posted in a video that shows her quickly heading for the door.

She also said: “Sometimes they’ll throw in a little razzle dazzle and send a video.”

Brewer’s dream to race at Indianapolis 500

Brewer is currently plying her trade in some of the minor league racing circuits around the world.

She became a household name among go-karting fans when she won the regional mountain championship at age 12.

She made the switch from from go-karts to regular cars in 2015 and said her goal was to emulate Danica Patrick and race in the Indy 500.

“My ultimate goal is to become a female IndyCar racer,” Brewer told the Ralston Valley Review in 2015.

“I want to compete in the Indy 500, and, hopefully, one day win.”

However she also revealed she was struggling to secure sponsorships.

“As of now, I am traveling to races looking for sponsors in hopes to make something happen,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Thank you for everyone's support through my racing. No I am not stopping my racing, this is just a difficult time in my career that unfortunately many drivers have to face.”
