Everton pick up their first away win of the season with an impressive 2-0 win against Ipswich at Portman Road. A chaotic start led to both sides spurning glorious chances, with Clarke skying an effort from close-range and Calvert-Lewin being denied by goalkeeper Muric when through on goal. Everton took the lead after Ndiaye capitalised on a poor mistake from Burns to fire home. Ipswich thought they had found a way back into the match after Clarke was fouled in the penalty area, with referee Michael Oliver initially awarding the penalty. However, VAR overturned the decision after replays showed he had slipped and made contact with McNeil himself. Keane doubled the lead with a fantastic finish close to half-time, which ultimately knocked the stuffing out of Ipswich. The second half was a more measured affair, with neither side having many chances and Everton looking solid at the back. Sean Dyche's men generated an xG of 1.74 to Ipswich's 1.27.
