The 29-year-old was competing in the 600cc category of the event, which was run behind closed doors because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Munoz was reportedly in second position when the tragic accident occurred on a bend called “Zero Curve”.
She was transferred to a local hospital but passed away.
Brazil's Secretariat of Sports and Leisur said it: “Regrets the death of Indy Munoz, an experienced athlete in moto racing, as a result of an accident during the first stage of the Goias Superbikes.”
“We reiterate that the race track has all of the documents updated and complies with all the safety rules set by organisations that manage motorcycle racing and all motor racing.
“The current management of SEEL is extremely vigilant on the quality of sporting arenas especially with regards to safety.”
Munoz was a national champion
Local media reports state Brazilian rider Welles Lins de Carvalho Balbino also died after a crash on the same bend last August.
Munoz spent the majority of her career in Brazil after moving from her homeland of Dominican Republic.
She was the Brazilian national champion in 2013 and 2014 and won three Kawasaki Ninja 300 cups and a Yamaha R3 Cup.
