FAMILY AFFAIR: Ex-wife rubs shoulders with Tiger Woods' girlfriend
Norman had been tested for Covid earlier in the week, and despite getting back a negative result, started exhibiting symptoms of the virus.
The 65-year-old said he wasn't sure if it was COVID-19 at the time but reported feeling "very flu-like" with aches and pains, fever and a cough.
Norman said on Christmas Eve that he was going to self-isolate at home so he didn't pose a safety risk to family and friends.
However, in a sad Christmas development for the two-time major winner, Norman posted a series of photos and some angry reaction of himself in hospital after testing positive for the virus.
“This sums it all up. My Christmas Day. On behalf of millions, f*** Covid,” Norman wrote.
“Get this s**t behind us never to experience it again.”
Norman just last week competed in the PNC Championship in Florida with his son Greg Norman Jr.
The pair finished ninth in the family-oriented event that was formerly known as the Father/Son Challenge.
The two Normans finished two places behind Tiger Woods and his 11-year-old son, Charlie.
Norman beach photo breaks internet
Norman sparked a social media frenzy in November after an innocent photo of the golf star and his dog on a beach in Florida went viral.
“A man and his dog on a Sunday,” Norman wrote alongside the photos.
What Norman thought were some innocent photos ended up revealing a little bit too much and the photo sparked a wave of responses on social media.
The photos also showed off the 65-year-old golf champion’s insane physique.
“I work out a minimum of five days a week, sometimes six days. I always take at least one day off,” Norman said in 2018.
“I have a full gym at my house. I built it. It’s got a cardio room, a full weight room, free weights, all that stuff.
“At the end of the day, I do enjoy keeping fit at my age.
“I don’t have any ego about me, but I do love having a fit life.”
The former World No.1 won the Open Championship in 1986 and 1993, and was runner-up at the other three majors numerous times.
