Paige Spiranac mocks Bryson DeChambeau over ugly golf war

The bitter and petty golfing feud between American stars Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau has captivated the sporting world this week, with social media sensation Paige Spiranac the latest to have some fun at the golfers' expense.

A leaked interview with Koepka at the PGA Championship went viral this week after it showed the American star's apparent disdain for his compatriot.

While Phil Mickelson dominated the headlines by winning the tournament to become the oldest champion in men's major history, the clip of Koepka has become the talk of the golfing world.

The four-time major winner could be seen rolling his eyes at the sight of DeChambeau in the background, before reacting to something the 2020 US Open champion said as he walked past.

“I lost my train of thought; hearing that bulls**t," Koepka said.

“F**king Christ.”

The clip has since spread like wildfire across social media, spawning memes and gifs galore as users revel in the modern-day rivalry.

NFL legend Tom Brady was among those to stoke the fire with a hilarious tweet about the incident.

Brady is teaming up with Mickelson to go up against DeChambeau and fellow NFL great Aaron Rodgers in a golfing exhibition called "The Match" on July 6.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner didn't miss a chance to reference the feud in a cheeky tweet about the upcoming event.

Brady's meme had the sporting world in stitches, with Spiranac forced to admit that the legendary quarterback is the GOAT (greatest of all time).

Not content with simply applauding Brady's efforts though, the social media starlet tweeted a hilarious follow-up of her own to her 441,000 followers.

“When the PIP check comes in,” Spiranac tweeted alongside of a superimposed photo of DeChambeau planting a kiss on the cheeked of a miffed Koepka.

Latest chapter in Koepka-DeChambeau feud

It's not the first time Spiranac has had a laugh at DeChambeau's expense, with the 28-year-old mocking one of his botched drives at The Players Championship earlier in the year.

DeChambeau's feud with Koepka seemed to really kick off after a photo shoot that the latter appeared in for ESPN last year.

Koepka was all but naked for the Body Issue shoot, prompting a cheeky comment from DeChambeau about his physical appearance.

“In [ESPN’s] Body Issue he didn’t even have any abs, I can tell you that,” DeChambeau said on a Twitch stream.

“I got some abs.”

Koepka responded to the comment with a post showing the four majors he'd won, in a not too subtle flex.

“You were right Bryson DeChambeau I am 2 short of a 6 pack," he wrote.

Koepka was also vocally critical of golfers who take an excruciating length of time to play their shots, in what was widely considered a shot at the notoriously slow DeChambeau.
