'Absolutely ridiculous': Rafa Nadal act sends fans into meltdown

Rafael Nadal is no stranger to pulling off the absurd but the 13-time French Open champ sent fans into meltdown over an utterly insane winner.

Nadal advanced to the Fourth Round and extended his run of consecutive matches won at Roland Garros to 33 and consecutive sets to 32 with a 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Cameron Norrie.

But the Spaniard did have to produce his best tennis to see of Norrie after falling behind 1-3 in the second set.

After going down the break, Nadal rallied back won five straight games to take the set.

However, it was the Spaniard's winner on set point that sent fans into a frenzy.

Returning serve, Nadal was stretched out wide on serve and was put on the run as Norrie approached the net to finish the point.

Nadal was well-behind the baseline and on the run when he produced a bullet-like backhand across court.

All Norie could do was watch it fly past him as Nadal wrapped up the set with a roar.

Fans rightfully went ballistic over the incredible shot.

Federer, Nadal, Djokovic advance

Earlier, Novak Djokovic stormed into the next round with the Serb needing just 92 minutes to defeat Ricardas Berankis 6-1, 6-4, 6-1, becoming the first man in the Open era to reach round four in Paris for 12 consecutive years.

Next up he faces 19-year-old Lorenzo Musetti who has made it through on his grand slam debut after defeating compatriot Marco Cecchinato 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.

Like Djokovic, Nadal will also face a 19-year-old Italian young gun in Jannik Sinner.

Roger Federer went on to win his tight match 7-6, 6-7, 7-6, 7-5, which the commentator described as a 'Houdini' act from the Swiss maestro.
