Female reporter cops disgusting crowd chant at football game

Italy clearly still has a long way to go.

Amid a number of shocking incidents of racism from fans toward players in recent months, comes this shocking treatment of a female reporter.

Italian sports presenter Diletta Leotta was walking off the pitch at a Napoli game recently when sections of the crowd started chanting “fuori le tette”.

The chant roughly translates to “get your t**s out”.

Leotta could be seen wagging her finger at the Stadio San Paolo crowd and giving a big thumbs down gesture.

The reporter was smiling, but probably didn’t find the treatment particularly funny.

Leotta, 28, is a star in Italy, with over 4.6 million followers on Instagram.

The former weather girl won the “Miss Elegant” crown at the Miss Italy beauty pageant in 2009.

She also has a law degree and graduated from Rome’s Luiss University in 2015.

Latest controversy in Italian football

Last month Italian club Atalanta condemned fans who allegedly racially abused Fiorentina's Brazilian left-back Dalbert.

The Italian top-flight match match was briefly halted by the referee during the first half after Dalbert reported heard racist chants from the stands.

Atalanta said in a statement on Monday that they "disassociate themselves from any form of discrimination that may have occurred".

The statement added: "Atalanta, along with their supporters and fans, are and will always be a mouthpiece for the values of solidarity and equality.

"The stupidity of a few must be fought together and we believe that it has neither colours nor jerseys. It needs to be isolated."

Also last month, Atalanta's Serie A rivals Cagliari avoided punishment after supporters allegedly aimed racist abuse at Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku, a decision that was fiercely criticised by anti-discrimination groups.
