'Extremely disappointing': Western Australia cops brutal cricket snub
Australian cricket's summer fixtures against India has been locked in but a major city is fuming after being snubbed from the packed schedule.
Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane were announced as the cities that will host Test matches.

Adelaide Oval will host a day-night Test series opener from December 17 followed by Tests at the MCG from Boxing Day, the SCG from January 7 and the Gabba in Brisbane from January 15.
The Indian tour will start with three one-dayers - two in Sydney on November 27 and 29 and in Canberra on December 2 - with three Twenty20 internationals held in Canberra on December 4 and in Sydney on December 6 and 8.
But a Test match, ODI or T20 in Perth was left off the schedule.
Perth has not been left off the International schedule since the 1976-77 season.
WACA chief disappointed in cricket schedule
This prompted WACA chief Christina Matthews to express her frustration at the snub.
“It is an extremely disappointing result for our Members, fans and our cricket community that WA will miss out on hosting international cricket fixtures this summer,” the WACA chief said in a statement.
“The WACA worked tirelessly with Cricket Australia and the WA Government to find a way to bring international cricket to Perth.
“Limitations with border restrictions, and complexities around scheduling as a result of COVID-19, led to the decision to play the three-match ODI series at the Sydney Cricket Ground (November 27 and 29) and Canberra’s Manuka Oval (December 2).
“We are dealing with circumstances and obstacles beyond our control. We respect and understand that difficult decisions need to be made to ensure our country can secure as much international cricket as possible this summer.”
