'Making crap up': Shane Warne's fury over 'disgraceful' rumours
Shane Warne has taken a swipe at gossip magazines ‘New Idea’ and ‘Woman’s Day’, accusing them of “making crap up” and calling for action to be taken.
In an explosive tirade on social media on Monday, the Australian cricket legend labelled the publications “absolutely disgraceful”.

It wasn’t clear whether Warne was upset about a particular story, but he went on to claim the publications have “gone after all of my children over the years”.
“I’ve read some crap in my time, but New Idea has taken the cake for making crap up now & it amazes me how the regulators allow this to continue in both Woman’s day and No idea!” he tweeted.
“It is absolutely disgraceful & both are never held accountable for making things up? Why?”
Responding to a comment from a fan, Warne continued: “Let’s hope the public have had enough too and decide to never purchase either of them again!
“Where are the regulators? I’m so reluctant to ever say anything because it draws attention to the rubbish and made up articles - but sick of saying nothing!”
The 51-year-old suggested the Australian public should join up and form a class action.
“I think it’s time all of us that have been wronged by both these magazines over the years get together and take them down!” he declared.
“Any law firms out there want to co-ordinate this. Maybe the media regulators will finally put their foot down too & hold them accountable! Who’s in?
“These trash magazines have also gone after all of my children over the years and Jackson lately too for no reason whatsoever! Just not fair or right on any level.
“Why haven’t the media regulators done something about this gutter journalism over the years & hold them accountable.”

Shane Warne’s sad admission about family
It’s not the first time Warne has gone after the magazine industry.
In 2018 he slammed Woman’s Day’s “constant harassment” of his family over an article that claimed Warne’s ex-wife Simone Callaghan was “tearing her hair out” that son Jackson was playing in a poker competition.
Jackson Warne, 21, has been in the spotlight in recent times after it was announced he would be appearing on Channel 7 reality show ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
Earlier this year Warne opened up about how he had “let his family down” with off-field indiscretions.
In a glittering career punctuated by text scandals, a spot-fixing allegation and even a drug ban, the 50-year-old admitted his failed to understand how the media operates.

Speaking on a six-part series for Fox Sports, Warne lamented the effect his mistakes had on his family.
“I’m not proud of all of my decisions,” Warne said in May.
“I made some horrible mistakes and choices with things. But I was always true to myself and that’s what I’m proud of today.”
“Some of the things were really hard to take. I let my family down, I embarrassed my children ... but that’s something I have to live with.
“But for all of those bad choices I’ve also been very proud of all the good things I’ve done.
“I’ve done a lot of good things but sometimes people like to harp on about the bad things because it’s a better headline.”
As well as son Jackson, Warne and Callaghan have daughters Brooke, 23, and Summer, 18, together.
