'Nothing will stop me': Tennis great's hilarious birthday celebration in quarantine

Stan Wawrinka’s 35th birthday party could go down as one of his more unusual as the three-time Grand Slam winner celebrated in style during self-isolation.

Sport stars around the world have gone into quarantine after codes were suspended during the coronavirus pandemic.

Self-isolation and strict crackdowns on social distancing has made gatherings impossible, but Wawrinka was still able to show his sense of humour on his birthday.

The popular Swiss star was inundated with birthday wishes on Sunday and Wawrinka decided to show his fans what he was up too.

Wawrinka posted a video online of him sitting solemnly in front of an empty dinner table in quarantine.

But the mood dramatically picks up when he photoshops himself into the video, not once, not twice but six times.

“Nothing will stop me from celebrating a birthday,” he wrote on Twitter.

Wawrinka has been hailed as the “world number one” of social media during his time in quarantine as he runs with a similar theme of editing multiple versions of himself into workouts.

Other tennis players also wished Wawrinka a happy birthday.

Gael Monfils claimed the pair are getting better with age, while Grigor Dimitrov made a request for future social media posts.
