Coco Gauff lands second title of season in China Open

Coco Gauff has taken her second title this season with a lopsided 6-1 6-3 victory over Karolina Muchova in the final of the China Open.

The 20-year-old American became the youngest champion in the event in 14 years after easing through Sunday's final.

She is also the second US champion in Beijing, following Serena Williams' title runs in 2004 and 2013.

It was Gauff's eighth career title in all, as she improved her record in tour finals to 8-1, including a perfect record of seven victories in hard-court finals.

Gauff wasted no time and took the opening set in just 31 minutes, dropping just five points on her first serve as she broke the Czech five times.

Muchova struggled for form, coughing up 24 unforced errors as Gauff ran out an easy winner in just 76 minutes in front of a sell-out crowd of 15,000.

Earlier, Paris Olympics gold medallists Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini defeated Chan Hao-Ching and Veronika Kudermetova 6-4 6-4 in the women's doubles final.
