'Am I next?': US teen star delivers powerful message on police brutality
Tennis teen sensation Cori ‘Coco’ Gauff has delivered a powerful message following the death of George Floyd in the US, which has sparked three days of protests.
Graphic footage of a white police officer pinning Floyd, an unarmed black man, to the ground - before he was pronounced dead - has prompted fierce outrage across the US.

The graphic footage, taken during the Monday evening arrest, shows Floyd, 46, gasping for air and pleading for help as he repeatedly groans, “please, I can’t breathe,” while onlookers can be heard shouting at police to let him up.
Floyd gradually grew unresponsive and ceased to move. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital a short time later.
Minneapolis has been in turmoil since the incident and the National Guard has been deployed to stop the protests.
Many stars, such as LA Lakers icon LeBron James, have spoken out against police brutality in the wake of the graphic footage.
Now, 16 year old tennis star Gauff has delivered a powerful message via Twitter.
The rising star recently said she would use her platform for good and she has done just that after she declared: “This is why I am using my voice to fight against racism...”

Pictures of well-known victims of police brutality from Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Eric Gardener, Freddie Grey, and more appear in the video.
She then raises her hands as the words:”Am I next?” appear on the screen.
Gauff is one of many athletes to have spoken out against police brutality in the last few days.
‘This is f**cked’: Nick Kyrgios expresses shock
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios also expressed his shock at the current climate in the US.
Kyrgios has always spoken out about various injustices around the world and this incident is no different.
Posting a photo on his Instagram he wrote: “This is f**ked. What’s wrong with this world?”
“Why do we do this to each other.”
Kyrgios posted an example, which read: ‘1 country, two systems’.
US Attorney General William Barr called the video “harrowing and deeply disturbing” in a written statement and said a parallel federal investigation would determine if the officers violated civil rights laws.
Floyd’s death recalled the 2014 killing of Eric Garner, an unarmed black man in New York City, who died after being put in a police chokehold and telling the officers, “I can’t breathe.”
