'Garbage': Nick Kyrgios explodes after 'horrendous' decision
Aussie Nick Kyrgios has exploded in his second round clash against Uno Humbert at the Australian Open after dropping the first set.
A raucous crowd were willing Kyrgios on against 29th seed Humbert when Kyrgios was serving to stay in the first set at 6-5.

But Kyrgios made a few rash decisions and opted for a couple of drop shots, which were unsuccessful.
The crowd suddenly became silent as Humbert snatched momentum and the first set.
But in typical Kyrgios fashion he snapped his racquet when arriving back at his bench.
“Strange choice, the drops shots,” Aussie tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt said after he was asked if it was the right decision for Kyrgios to use during a crucial game.
Kyrgios was rightfully penalised with a code violation for breaking the racquet.
Fans were also equally surprised with his shot selection, but none to surprised when Kyrgios lost his temper.
Ugo Humbert takes the first set 7-5 after 42 minutes. Some poor shot choices from Nick Kyrgios in the back end of that set. He decimates his racquet and gets a code violation for his troubles.

That’s a terrible game from Kyrgios. Trying to take the easy way off with drop shots. Got what he deserved really. #AusOpen

Bro Kyrgios with the worst 3 drop shots I’ve ever seen.
How do you not break the racket there that was horrendous— GOAT FREE PLAYS (@GoatPlays_) February 10, 2021
What a wasteful game from Kyrgios. Threw the first set away with three garbage drop shot attempts. #AusOpen

Kyrgios erupts in the first round encounter
Kyrgios overcame a slow start to beat Portugal's Frederico Ferreira Silva 6-4 6-4 6-4 in 119 minutes in their round-one encounter.
Despite the win, the Aussie star was a picture of frustration throughout the match and yelled at his box in a strange rant during the first set.
“Tell your girlfriend to get out of my box,” he yelled.
It was unclear who Kyrgios’ spray was directed at, however the only people sitting in his box appeared to be his father Giorgos, sister Halimah, brother Christos and Christos’ girlfriend Alicia Gowans.
