'Wearing it like a boss': AFL fans go bonkers for great's safety measures
Patrick Dangerfield has filmed dual Brownlow Medalist Gary Ablett on the plane and fans couldn’t help but point out his safety mask looked like similar devices used by some famous movie characters.
The Geelong Cats were travelling to Sydney to take on GWS Giants after the AFL began life without fans on Thursday as Richmond beat Carlton behind closed doors.

But Dangerfield happened to film teammate Ablett with an unusual caption around his face when he least expected it.
His caption said it all.
“No risk for the GOAT,” he wrote on Twitter.

Fans couldn’t help but point to similarities between Ablett’s face mask to that worn from Batman villain Bane and Star Wars’ Darth Vader when he reveals his face to Luke Skywalker.

AFL’s safety measures
Ablett’s safety measures come after Gillon McLachlan says the competition will shut down for at least 30 days in the event of a positive test.
Some AFL players are in quarantine from the coronavirus as chief executive Gillon McLachlan says the competition will shut down for at least 30 days in the event of a positive test.
"We would certainly stand down for a minimum of 30 days," McLachlan told 3AW radio on Friday.
"We need to make sure that our protocols are completely tight."
McLachlan had previously said a positive test to a player would result in a 14-day closure of the competition.
He said no players had tested positive to the coronavirus.
"I know we have got players in quarantine," he said.
"... I know there are no players or officials from tonight's game that are pending tests."
