The wife of Melbourne Demons star Nathan Jones has revealed she has suffered a third-consecutive miscarriage.
In an emotional social media post, Jerri Jones opened up about her loss on International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

Jerri Jones revealed she suffered her third miscarriage in a row earlier this week, opening up in the hope of raising awareness for others.
“Today is International pregnancy & Infant Loss Memorial Day. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage,” Jerri wrote.
“I am 1 in 4. Although I’m usually a very private person, it seems fitting, on all days to share that this week I experienced my 3rd consecutive miscarriage and had a d&c today.

“Pregnancy loss can be very lonely and I hope by sharing part of our story this may help even one person feel less alone in theirs.
“I know that hearing other women share their experiences has helped me immensely.
“Chances are that you or someone you know has experienced miscarriage.
“I highly recommend watching @mum_documentary (Misunderstandings of Miscarriage) on Stan, which is all about normalising conversations about miscarriage and infant loss. It’s a beautifully moving and informative film.
“I’m so grateful for our two beautiful, healthy children and feel SO deeply for those who have not been so lucky.
“Sending love to anyone that needs it today.”
Husband Nathan shared Jerri’s post, writing: “Lucky is to have you x”.
Nathan and Jerri married in 2012 and have two children together.

Jerri’s post sparked an outpouring of support from the footy world, with Bec Judd among those to send her love.
“Been thinking of you so much. So many will benefit from your shared story. You are amazing. Big love to you and Nath,” the TV star and wife of West Coast and Carlton great Chris Judd wrote.
Nathan Jones keen to continue at Demons
Nathan Jones revealed last month how he wanted to continue his career with the Demons next year, despite some indifferent form that has many questioning his future.
“I’ve had a tough year with injury in particular, but in saying that I’ve probably learnt more than I ever have just in really different ways of being able to influence and impact the group,” he told a Demons club podcast.
“From a mental point of view, I feel really balanced and excited about what I can potentially offer next year. But they’re discussions that we’ll have at some point in time.”
However Demons coach Simon Goodwin said the club was yet to make a decision on the 32-year-old’s future.
Jones was dropped earlier this year, but captain Max Gawn tipped him to bounce back.
“I did give him a ring straight after the news and his first thing was, ‘It's alright, I'll be back next week’,” Gawn said.
“Nathan Jones has played just under 300 games and only missed about 20, so that's the kind of guy he is.”
Jones has played 287 games since making his AFL debut in 2006 and sits second on Melbourne’s all-time games played list.
He could become only the second Demons player behind David Neitz (306) to reach the 300-game milestone.
