'Disgusting to watch': Shock over tennis star's 'vile' on-court act
Yulia Putintseva has once again drawn the ire of the tennis world after a volatile display at the Adelaide International.
The fiery Kazakh star was too good for Germany's Laura Siegemund on Tuesday night, advancing with a 6-4 6-4 win.

However the match wasn't without controversy as Putintseva rowed with the umpire and her opponent.
The 26-year-old received a code violation in the second set when she was believed she'd been wronged by a line call.
"They are not professional, they only come from here, they don't travel with the tour," she could be heard telling the chair umpire.
Umpire Miri Bley then hit her with a code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct before rebuking her claims.
"Be careful what you say Yulia. This is a professional tournament, with professional people," Bley shot back.
Siegemund was also infuriated when Putintseva took a long break near the end of the match to fix a shoelace, venting her frustrations at the chair umpire.
The pair then refused to touch racquets (the COVID-19 equivalent of a handshake) after the final point.
Fans flocked to social media to condemn Putintseva's actions.

No handshake between Putintseva and Siegemund. Both vile tbf. Biggest grubs on tour. #AdelaideTennis

Totally here for umpires enforcing this kind of attitude on the players. Zero tolerance for disrespect.

@PutintsevaYulia is so disrespectful. She should be glad to have linespeople seeing as nobody else comes to her matches.

Sam Stosur suffers brutal loss to Aussie youngster
Meanwhile, Maddison Inglis has earned a second-round clash with French Open champion Iga Swiatek after upsetting her idol and fellow Australian Samantha Stosur.
It's proving to be a breakthrough season in the 23-year-old's blossoming career, with the 5-7 7-5 6-4 victory over former US Open champion Stosur another highlight.
Currently ranked 136, Inglis is eyeing a top-100 berth after chalking up her first WTA tour win at the Phillip Island Trophy earlier this month and then backing it up against Stosur.
She also pushed Australian Open defending champion and fourth seed Sofia Kenin in their round-one clash at Melbourne Park before falling 7-5 6-4.
"I'm obviously stoked to get the win," Inglis said.
"I could see Sam wasn't 100 per cent in the third set so I think I got a bit lucky in the end but it's pretty special to play against Sam as she was an idol growing up and someone I've always looked up to.
"To be on the same court as her was a really cool experience."
It was a horror night for Ajla Tomljanovic though, the Australian crashing out with barely a whimper against compatriot and qualifier Storm Sanders.
Sanders broke wildcard Tomljanovic in her first service game of the match and never looked back in a one-sided affair, winning 6-1 6-2.
The 26-year-old from Rockhampton will now meet seventh seed Putintseva.
