TikTok doubles down in Australia amid US turmoil
Updated: 31 August 2020
TikTok is doubling down on its Australia operations and has announced it is hiring a further 20 positions as it looks to “scale at rapid pace” Down Under.
A TikTok spokesperson told Yahoo Finance it was focused on “continuing to grow our local operations and invest in our growing community”.
“This includes hiring the right local talent to support the Australian TikTok community across the content, operations and commercial side of the business,” the spokesperson said.
“We are also investing further in our local users, creators, and brands. We see huge opportunities to further scale at a rapid pace in Australia and this continues to be a priority market.”
The roles are all based in TikTok’s Sydney office.
