How to shop Boxing Day sales
The sales are starting earlier and earlier, with online retailers advertising sales days before their brick and mortar counterparts are.
“If you want to make the most of the deals and ensure you don’t miss out, start your shopping early,” personal finance expert at Finder, Kate Browne said.
“Make a list of all the things you need and do some research to find all the retailers stocking your item, that way you know where to head on the day.”
But before you buy, make sure you take a look at the store’s returns policy, as they tend to have stricter rules around returning discounted items, Browne said.
“Some stores, such as JB Hi-Fi and Bunnings, offer a price match guarantee,” she said.
“Use this to your advantage to score an extra discount.
Here’s your Boxing Day to-do list:
Jump online early;
Know the value of the items you want to avoid overspending;
Keep an eye on retailers, as some offer exclusive deals or access to members.
