Australia’s largest apartment hits market for $46 million
If you don’t like large spaces, this property might not be for you.
At 1,400 square metres, the Melbourne apartment at 150 Clarendon has been labelled the southern hemisphere’s “largest single-level apartment”, and should it hit $46 million, it will eclipse state property sale records by $16 million.
Its owner, Hong Kong businesswoman Margaret Lou is listing the apartment after buying it for around $19 million in 2007. This followed a global search for “one of the best apartments in the world” she said in a Whitefox real estate video.
She said she loved being close to Fitzroy Gardens, adding that the home has been designed with feng shui principles in mind.
The four-bedroom home features three metre high ceilings and an open-plan kitchen and living area.
The kitchen comes equipped with Miele appliances and a walk-in butler’s pantry.
The entire property is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows.
Some of these windows open onto a large balcony.
There’s also a 25-metre lap pool, gym, sauna and spa.
And if you feel like relaxing, the meditation room or private cinema could be the ticket.
The master bedroom has north and east-facing views and an ensuite with spa.
The home also features a private wine cellar, boardroom and office.
