Applications open for Christmas financial support

Member of the public who struggle financially during the Christmas period have been invited to apply for financial support.

The Jersey Christmas Appeal said applications would be open between 21 October and 13 November.

The public is invited to St Helier's Town Hall to fill out an application form between 09:30 and 11:00 on weekdays.

It added financial support would be in the form of vouchers for food, heating and toys.

Last year, the appeal said it helped 1,100 individuals, including pensioners, those on low incomes and single-parent homes.
